Last night was the 20th anniversary of Slam Free or Die in Manchester, NH. I was involved in the scene back in 2009-2010 as both just a regular participant and a member of the 2010 team that went to the National Poetry Slam that year. I was invited to be one of the guests last night along with poets from all across SFoD’s history, and I’m grateful and humbled to have been included. Here’s video my son took (on a school night!) of Mckendy Fils-Aimé introducing me, some brief remarks, and what has always been my signature performance poem, “ADD TV.”
