A couple of years ago, I composed a book-length manuscript of dreamscapes based on both my actual dreams (usually nightmares) and the concerns of people I care about. I sat on said manuscript for a while but started sending the individual poems out last year, and the first of them has been accepted by The Quarter(ly). They’re all untitled, and I tend to refer to them by the initial phrasing (all of them begin with the words “Tonight you”). You can pre-order the issue containing “[Tonight you are a security camera panning]” here, and I also recorded it for their website. I’ll either make a new post or edit this one once that recording is available.
