Lightning strikes twice

I’m back on Rattle’s website! This time my poem “Stormchaser” was selected as the Prompt Poem of the Month for July and was published today. This one was written in response to a prompt asking poets to utilize Michael Theune’s Structure and Surprise book or website, which was kind of an interesting connection for me, as he teaches at my alma mater (I even vaguely remember being part of a one-off class he taught when he was applying many years ago). My goal in the poem was to work within the List-with-a-Twist structure.
